Does Your Logo Need to Be Bigger?

The purpose of a logo is to give a visual representation of your company brand. The name and the products and services you provide. Simple logos are often the most difficult and also successful. It should make sense. Is it an eye sore? Is it so big that it’s overwhelming? Make sure it’s not offensive and that it’s inclusive. You don’t want to start off on a bad note by stepping on peoples toes before you even get started.

Understanding that your business’ actions will outshine your logo

Logos are meaningful for the owner/company rather than the consumer. People will not forget the experience from dealing with a company. Whether it is good or bad. They are going to walk away with the emotional effects. Yes, there are logos that are so well known that some people remember what the company is just by looking at the logo but, it’s not always the case. Your logo should promote your business and build brand identity. But, by spending so much time concentrating on what the company logo looks like, put more of that attention toward the process of how the company will function in meeting the demands of your clients. It will be more profitable of making sure that you grow your clientele than a logo. And you do that by providing a wonderful experience for your clients so that they will continue to patronage your business. That means more to the consumer than trying to figure out what your logo looks like or what the meaning is behind it.

How a Bigger Logo Could Cause Distraction

Bigger is not always better. The main objective about having a business should be pleasing your potential clients. Sometimes it takes away from the message in which you are trying to put across like, what type of business are you? Does it portray what the company/product/services is about? They want good service/product/experience at the end of the day.

Keep It Simple

The KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid) states that most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complicated. Simplicity should be the end goal in design. In trying to establish a logo you can be creative but not outlandish. It’s ok to even get opinions of staff members but keep it to a minimum because it can get out of control real fast. Always remember that everyone has a different style and taste so you will never please everybody with your logo.
